As everyone says good bye to the outgoing 2010, we are nothing but amazed at the incredible journey www.mibihar.com has had in its maiden year. January 1st, 2011 marks the first anniversary of www.mibihar.com ‘s launch. Within a year, mibihar has reached an unprecedented popularity! With more than a 1.5 million hits in its debut year and 800 unique visitors every month, mibihar’s viewership has surpassed all our imagination. We thank all the readers for their contributions, support and patronage.

http://www.mibihar.com is a non-profit, online medium that aims at contributing to the intellectual, cultural and economic renaissance of Bihar and Jharkhand. The website http://www.mibihar.com is also a free online portal for announcements, events, advertisements and classifieds for the local Michigan community and beyond. We keep the community abreast with important news, happenings and people through our weekly blogs. http://www.mibihar.com helped publicize many events organized by our local charitable organizations like ASHA, CRY and more.

In the past year, mibihar has successfully participated in various charitable events in Michigan and India. We made a great start! www.mibihar.com partnered with United Prosperity, a non-profit organization that provides microloans to poor entrepreneurs in India. Through United Prosperity, mibihar has adopted poverty stricken entrepreneurs in Jharkhand. www.mibihar.com aggressively collected donations that went to the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund. In Michigan, we participated in River Rouge Clean-up in Canton. We partnered with NATS and Troy Telugu Association to organize a fundraising concert for Sri Ramana Maharishi School for the Blind in India. www.mibihar.com team was instrumental in launching a few Michigan community websites: http://btvolunteer.miseva.org/ (Bharatiya Hindu Temple Volunteers in Troy) and http://www.upad.us (Uttar Pradesh Association of Detroit) website.

In the coming New Year 2011, www.mibihar.com ’s goal is to align with more charities, both in India and United States, service the Michigan community by providing them with the news they can use and most significantly, participate in the social, intellectual and economic rejuvenation of Bihar and Jharkhand.
