Tulip Time Festival May 7-14, 2011 – Celebrating over 80 years

The annual Tulip Time Festival is gearing up to begin in the second week of May in Holland,Michigan. Holland is the home to many festivities during early spring, but the Tulip Time is the highlight of the city.

May 7-14 marks the official beginning of the many events in Holland to celebrate the blooming of the Tulips.

The beautiful tulips gardens of Veldheer Tulip Gardens and Windmill Island Gardens,will proudly be on display for the flower lovers to enjoy.

The visitors can also enjoy the music and dance that includes street organs and various local bands. At the Windmill Island and Dutch Village, De Gulden Engel Calliope street organ will play music. Tourists can also look forward to the dance performances of local students Dutch Klompen.Other popular attractions are Holland Museum, Hope College and Neil's Dutch Village.

The Tulip Time Festival organizers are currently encouraging volunteers to sign up for assistance during the various events.
